Villa Z
Full Project Description
At the confluence of the Mediterranean and the East, Villa Z displays a vocabulary specific to North Africa and the Arab-Muslim world. Immaculate whiteness of the walls, particular use of light and moucharabieh are revisited to adapt to the needs of a contemporary home. Located in a fairly dense residential area, the villa presents itself on the side of the street, with a sober and uncluttered facade with a minimum of openings to preserve the privacy of the interior spaces. It consists of a simple flat wall divided by a glazed slot treated in Arabesque moucharabieh. The main entrance, clad in wood-look HPL, has been covered by a metal structure awning which ensures its identification and protection. An olive tree planted opposite, celebrates the natural heritage of Tunisia and brings back a breath of shade and greenery.
